Seyi Tinubu Meets Kaduna Governor
Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday led his Renewed Hope Youth Engagement team on a courtesy visit to Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, in the state capital.
During the visit, Governor Sani promised to propose the creation of a Ministry of Youth Development to the Kaduna State Executive Council.
The Governor praised Seyi Tinubu for his humility and nationwide engagement with youth across different tribes, religions, and political affiliations.
“I was impressed with what you did in Kano yesterday by interfacing with youths across board. I commend your efforts in uniting youths for positive outcomes,” the governor said..
Governor Sani emphasized the importance of harnessing the talents of youth, stating that the nation’s future depends on it.
He also highlighted the federal government’s policies and programs focused on education and the digital economy, stressing that youth can only benefit from these opportunities if they remain united and avoid being divided by politicians along ethno-religious lines.
He said, “The All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government has a lot of policies and programmes around the education sector and digital economy.
“Youth can only leverage these opportunities when they are united and refuse to allow politicians to divide them along ethno-religious lines.”
Earlier, the Minister of Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, had urged the state governor to create a Ministry of Youth Development to give youth a sense of belonging.
The President’s son and his team had Iftar with Muslim youth in Kano, and on Tuesday, they met with students of Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria.
The team also paid homage to the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, before paying a courtesy call on Governor Uba Sani.
At sunset, the team is expected to have Iftar with youth groups in Kaduna.
