Senator Wamakko Bags Honorary Degree
Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Political Science by the Federal University Dutsin-ma Katsina State.
Wamakko, who is the senator representing Sokoto Central senatorial district in the National Assembly received the honour during the university’s 9th convocation ceremony, which drew notable personalities from within and outside Katsina State.
The Chairman of Tangaza LGA, Isa Salihu Baahir Kalanjeni said that the recognition of Senator Wamakko, a former governor of Sokoto State, is testament to his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s political landscape.
He added that Wamakko is a respected leader who has dedicated a lot to public service and has made a lasting impact in Sokoto State.
It is recalled that The Federal University Dutsin-ma was established in 2011 and has since been a reputable institution dedicated to academic excellence and community service.
