Security Agencies Urged To Share Intelligence To Combat Rising Insecurity
The General Officer Commanding 8 Division and Commander Sector 2 Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Major General Ibikunle Ajose has urged all security agencies to sustain the spirit of collaboration in order to achieve greater security and stability in the country.
The GOC made the call during the Closing Ceremony of 8 Division Operations Planning Cadre 2025 in Sokoto on Friday.
He said working together, sharing intelligence and leveraging collective strength in a joint operational environment is a ‘Tool in winning wars’.
“Over the period of 5 days we have engaged in thought provoking discussion and sessions aimed at Strengthening our leadership capabilities, operational planning skills and inter-agency collaboration “
The GOC said the theme of the cadre was carefully chosen to reflect the critical role of authentic leaders in shaping the outcome of the society.
According to him, the ability to effectively counter evoking threats depends on the leadership decision making and coordination skills of those on the frontline.
He addressed his optimism that the participants have benefitted from insightful lectures on ‘Authentic Leadership ‘, and had a valuable platform for developing their essential leadership qualities.
Expressing his gratitude to the organisers, resource persons and participants, he said their active participation has made the cadre a fruitful endeavor that is instrumental in ensuring the maximum benefit of the event, hoping that lessons learned from the sessions will have a lasting impact on the operations of security agencies in the country.
