Liverpool talisman Mohammed Salah, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, and Chelsea star Cole Palmer have been nominated for the Professional Footballers’ Association’s Players’ Player of the Year award.

Salah led Liverpool to the Premier League title with a record 29 goals, and 18 assists to top the goal, and assists charts in the 2024-25 season.

He is aiming to win the award for a record third time in his career after winning in 2018, and 2022.

The Egyptian forward equalled the record of 47 goal involvements in a Premier League season, held by Andrew Cole, and Alan Shearer.

Liverpool midfielder, Alexis Mac Allister was also nominated for the award alongside Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, and Arsenal’s Declan Rice.

Bruno Fernandes was a shining light for Manchester United in a disastrous season with eight goals and 10 assists in the Premier League as they finished 15th on the log.

Declan Rice was also nominated after scoring nine goals, and 10 assists in all competitions for the Gunners.

Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak also made the list after scoring 27 goals in 42 appearances to lead the Magpies to the Champions League.

Cole Palmer completed the list with 15 goals, and 12 assists in all competitions for Chelsea.

Phil Foden was named Players’ Players of the Year last season, and Erling Haaland won it in 2023.

The winner of the award will be announced on 19 August at a ceremony in Manchester.

The PFA Players’ Player of the Year award is an annual award given to the player who is adjudged to have been the best of the year in English football.

The award has been presented since the 1973–74 season, and the winner is chosen by a vote amongst the members of the players’ trade union, the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA).
