The Sole Administrator of Ahoada East, Goodluck Iheamnacho has said he remains the administrator of the council.

He gave the rebuttal in an interview at a popular radio station where he called on the public to disregard the letter circulating on social media saying he has resigned.

Earlier, a letter of resignation was in circulation of the Sole Administrator of Ahoada East Local Government Area in Rivers State, officially resigned from his position, citing a desire to return to the private sector.

In a letter dated June 20, 2025, and addressed to the Government House in Port Harcourt, Iheamnacho expressed his gratitude to the Rivers State Government and the people of Ahoada East for the opportunity to serve.

Iheamnacho, however, said he was attacked in his office by some hoodlums and his personal belongings taken away.

He said: “I did not resigned from my appointment as the Sole Administrator of Ahoada-East. I was attacked in my office and a letter they brought was not signed by me, I do not know anything about the letter.

“I want to tell members of the public that I did not resigned as the sole administrator of Ahoada-East and any other information aired is null and void. I am still the sole administrator of Ahoada-East.”

Iheamnacho’s poported resignation comes after serving just over two months, from April 11, 2025.
