The President/Chief Executive Officer of Funab Group of Companies Limited and the 2023 candidate for the House of Representatives, Asa-Ilorin West Federal Constituency, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to national progress in 2025.

Ajia, in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, signed by his Director of Communications, Mallam Abdulrahman Aliagan, extended his warm wishes to the people of Kwara State and Nigerians at large, reflecting on the nation’s challenges and the need for unity.

Ajia described the outgoing year, 2024, as one filled with economic hardship and political instability, but commended the resilience and strength demonstrated by Nigerians.

He noted that the ability of the people to remain united during trying times was a testament to their enduring spirit.

“As we enter 2025, I urge every Nigerian to keep hope alive and continue to pray to Almighty God for peace, stability, and prosperity in our dear nation,” Ajia said in the statement.

“Our collective prayers, coupled with a commitment to positive action, remain powerful tools in surmounting the trials before us”, he said.

Ajia also called on the government at all levels, urging them to prioritize innovative strategies aimed at alleviating the economic challenges and hardship facing the citizens.

He called for urgent reforms to tackle the rising cost of living, unemployment, insecurity, inflation and infrastructure deficits among others

“Strengthening economic reforms, supporting small and medium enterprises, investing in youth development, and curbing wasteful spending are essential steps toward restoring economic stability and national progress,” he advised.

Ajia emphasized the importance of inclusivity, transparency, and accountability in governance, noting that fostering trust and a sense of belonging among all citizens would be critical to achieving sustainable progress.

He urged Nigerians to be patient and encouraged them to remain committed to the collective goal of building a brighter future for the country.

“As we celebrate the New Year, let us look forward with optimism and renewed determination to make 2025 a year of progress, unity, and shared prosperity for all Nigerians,” he said.
