Real Madrid and several other clubs want the FIFA Club World Cup to be held every two years instead of four

Recall that FIFA expanded the 2025 edition of the Club World Cup from 7-team to 32-team competition.
Chelsea had earlier this month won the 2025 Club World Cup.
The Blues had defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final in the United States.
Following the conclusion of the competition, FIFA recognized Chelsea as the first winners of the Club World Cup.
The world football governing body then recognized the winners of the previous 7-team format will be renamed to Intercontinental Champions.
Recall that Manchester City had won the last edition of the 7-team tournament format in 2023.
