Reactions Trail Prophet Ebuka Obi’s Response To ‘Miracle House’ Testimony

Controversy has erupted online following Prophet Ebuka Obi’s response to a viral testimony at his Zion Prayer Movement Outreach.

The incident involves a woman who claimed to have purchased a house worth N500m, which was later alleged to be fabricated.

In a viral Facebook video, the cleric denied any personal connection to the woman and accused her of lying against God and the church’s altar.

Addressing the situation, Obi emphasised, “I heard from clergymen in the East that bloggers were sponsored. Now, do I know her? Does any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily.”

Obi stated that he has engaged legal practitioners to address the controversy, insisting that “the case cannot be manipulated,” neither will his ministry be compromised

The incident has sparked divided reactions from netizens.

Some believe the testimony was arranged by the cleric, while others maintain he was unaware of the woman’s alleged deception.

A Facebook user, Celestine Chisa, commented: “God is beginning to expose arrangements going on to deceive people. So because you have never slept with a woman, that makes you free from the accusation? He is now indirectly accusing Fr. Mbaka, right? They are all the same.”

Larry Greg weighed in: “Well, I know there’s God, but I don’t know who is close to him. From the girl’s reaction, she was paid. The young man Ebuka may just be laughing at such testimony.”

In contrast, Benjamin Onuh Ali defended the prophet: “She came from Enugu, and the house is in Enugu. You may be disappointed; the findings may not align with your suspicion.”

Another user, Idogwu Celestina, cautioned against hasty judgment: “You should also try to find out how a woman in labor will be having sex with her doctor. Try and verify very well how that is possible. In fact, try and verify many things before presenting it to the public.”
