Puma Strikes Record £1 Billion Deal with Man City in Premier League’s Biggest Kit Pact

Puma has secured a landmark partnership extension with Manchester City, establishing a decade-long agreement valued at approximately £1 billion ($1.34 billion). This arrangement represents the most substantial kit manufacturing contract in Premier League history.

The Citizens had initially partnered with the German sportswear giant in 2019 under a £65 million annual agreement. The renewed contract reportedly increases this figure to £100 million yearly through 2035, based on British media sources.

This unprecedented sum surpasses Manchester United’s £90 million annual contract with Adidas from 2023. European powerhouses Real Madrid and Barcelona are also understood to have secured kit partnerships exceeding £100 million annually.

“We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond the expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons,” City Football Group chief executive Ferran Soriano said.

“Puma have seamlessly integrated into our organisation, and we have enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging fans globally.”

Puma chief executive Arthur Hoeld added: “Puma’s partnership with Manchester City has been a great success both on and off the pitch.

“Trophies, a perfect stage for our performance products and commercial success, were exceptional.”

The record-breaking agreement follows City’s first trophy-less campaign since the 2016–17 season. Under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, the team secured third place in the Premier League, ending their four-year title-winning streak. Additional disappointments included an unexpected FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace and an early Club World Cup elimination at the hands of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal.
