Properties worth millions of naira destroyed as fire ravages residential building in Ogbomoso
Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed as a result of fire that ravaged a residential building in Ogbomoso in Oyo State.
The incident, according to sources close to the area, occurred on Tuesday.
It occurred at Ile-Gbogi, Papa, Surulere Area in Ogbomoso.
Chairman, Oyo State Fire Service, Hon Maroof Akinwande confirmed the incident.
Akinwande in a statement made available to DAILY POST Wednesday morning said that no casualty was recorded during the fire incident.
He said, “On getting to the scene of the incident, we met first room left of a private residential building of six (6) rooms engulfed by fire. We quickly swung into action and quenched the fire within a short period of time.
“No casualty was recorded and the fire slightly affected a room out of six (6) rooms in the edifice”.
