Presidential Aide Empowers 500 Vulnerable Women, Youths To Reduce Hardship

In a move to ameliorate the hardship faced by vulnerable Nigerians, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Community Engagement for the Northeast, Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba, has empowered 500 women and youths in Gombe State.

The gesture comes in the wake of the economic setbacks faced by Nigerians, particularly the vulnerable people.

Abba unveiled the support during a programme titled ‘Interactive Session/Relief and Empowerment Programme With Community Leaders, Youth Groups, Women Groups and Religious Leaders.’

Recall that from August 1 and 10, 2024, Nigerians protested economic hardship with the theme #EndBadGovernance.

After the protest, President Tinubu directed public engagement aides to ramp up citizen outreach across the six geopolitical zones of the country.

In response to the plight, Abba said the initiative is to show Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has their welfare at heart.

Abba, who was represented by his personal assistant, Alhaji Nuhu Gambo, said the empowerment program aligns with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

In line with Tinubu’s plans, Abba said he would embark on empowerment of this nature that would uplift communities and provide opportunities for economic self-sufficiency.

He said, “The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement North East, Hon. Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba has empowered 500 women and youth in Gombe State.

“This initiative is aimed at supporting the less privileged and vulnerable members of the society. The program seeks to enhance their economic stability and improve their livelihoods.

“The efforts have continued to make a significant impact on community development across the North East region.”

Reacting to the gesture, the Senior Special Assistant to the Gombe State Governor on Small and Medium Enterprises, Abdulwahab Sabo said the empowerment has renewed the confidence of Nigerians in the Tinubu administration.

Sabo said he was delighted with the gesture and sought more partnerships with the state.

The beneficiaries of the empowerment programme said that the empowerment would reduce the hardship in their various communities.
