The Anambra State Police Command has called on residents to continue exposing unrepentant criminals, stressing the need for community involvement in the state’s security strategy.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, urged citizens not to be deterred by recent security challenges.

He asked that the community work closely with law enforcement to ensure peace and order.

“Residents are urged not to be discouraged, but to remain vigilant and cooperative with the security agencies in exposing unrepentant criminals in the State,” the statement read.

The Command reiterated that public participation in crime reporting can help prevent incidents and strengthen law enforcement efforts across all communities.

Meanwhile, the police said that the Command’s Joint Security Team has stepped up surveillance and patrols across the state to deter crime and maintain public safety in light of recent threats.

The statement further noted that citizens can also contact Area Commanders or Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) in their respective localities for direct assistance.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to community safety and urged residents to remain proactive partners in the ongoing fight against crime.
