Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have foiled a bandit attack and rescued two kidnapped victims in Gago village, Dutsinma Local Government Area of the state.

According to a post on Friday by security analyst Zagazola Makama on X, the incident happened around 1:42 a.m. on Wednesday when armed bandits stormed the community.

Responding swiftly, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in Dutsinma led an Armoured Personnel Carrier, APC, patrol team to the scene and engaged the attackers in a gun duel, forcing them to retreat.

Two victims, 47-year-old Sada Yahaya and 31-year-old Zuwaira Sada, were rescued unhurt during the operation.
