Police arrest suspected killlers of resident in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the murder of one Abdallah Usman, a resident of Tsamiyar Kuturu, Dorayi Karama Quarters, Kano on 4th August, 2025.

The arrest was made during a joint operation involving officers from the Department of Operations, Dorayi Babba Division, Sharada Division, Kumbotso Division, and other tactical teams.

The suspects, all residents of Dorayi Karama area, were apprehended following a directive by the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, who gave a 24-hour ultimatum to fish out the perpetrators of the heinous crime.

A statement signed by the force’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi haruna Kiyawa on Tuesday said during the raid, cutlasses, a pair of scissors, and other dangerous weapons were recovered from the suspects.

“Investigation is ongoing to arrest other fleeing suspects.”

The Kano State Police Command, while commiserating with the family of the deceased, commends the officers involved in the operation for their professionalism and diligence.

“We assure the public of our commitment to maintaining law and order and bringing perpetrators of crimes to justice.”

The force promised further information as the investigation unfolds.
