PHOTOS: Tinubu In Katsina For Buhari’s Burial

President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, arrived in Katsina to receive the remains of the former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away in London on Sunday at the age of 82.
Vice President Kashim Shettima departed London in the early hours of Tuesday with the remains of former President Buhari back to Nigeria.

Upon arrival at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport in Katsina, Tinubu was received by Gov. Dikko Radda, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, governors, Chairman of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.

Others include ministers, former governors, former and serving senators, Alhaji Dahiru Mangal, former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC), and others.
Buhari’s Corpse Arrives In Katsina

The remains of Buhari arrived in Katsina on Tuesday afternoon for burial at his hometown, Daura.
The aircraft carrying Buhari’s body touched ground by 1:50 p.m. at Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport, Katsina.
Upon arrival at the airport, the body was received by President Bola Tinubu, Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina, ministers, governors, captains of industry, the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, presidential aides, and members of the Katsina State Executive Council.
Others are the former President of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou; Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Service Chiefs; former Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Tukur Buratai; and others.
The federal government declared Tuesday (today) a public holiday in honour of the late president, who passed away on Sunday.
The holiday comes as part of the ongoing seven-day national mourning period earlier announced by President Tinubu to pay tribute to Buhari’s life and legacy.
