People think I’m rude because I post savage memes on social media – Victor Boniface

Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, has said a lot of people assume he’s rude because he posts savage memes on social media.

DAILY POST reports that Boniface has received a backlash in the past due to his posting memes on social media.

Speaking in a recent episode of The Culture League podcast, the Bayer Leverkusen explained that he’s not rude, stressing that he posts memes on social media just to express himself.

Boniface noted that the lifestyle of footballers, which restricts them from behaving like people in other professionals, also fuels the misconception that they are rude.

“People have a misconception that most football players are rude or prideful just because we don’t associate too much with other professions, so people think we are rude. No, we are not,” he said.

“The public want us to be like other celebrities but there are certain things entertainers can do that we can’t do. So, when we are not doing those things, they assume that we are rude.

“Me, for example, I post a lot of savage memes and people think I’m rude but I’m not. I would never insult anyone online until you say something offensive. Some of us have in-built craziness that people have to provoke out in us but I’m just calm. But if you bring it, we will give it to you,” the striker explained.
