PDP NWC Affirms Governor Fubara As Rivers Party Leader

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the party leader in Rivers State.

The NWC members and Governor Fubara are in a closed-door meeting at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Sources said the NWC earlier affirmed the governor as the leader of the party in the state and also hailed the recent court judgment nullifying the party’s congresses in the state.

The development, The Whistler observed, significantly boosted Governor Fubara’s leadership and the party’s overall prospects in Rivers State.

As the leader of the PDP in Rivers State, Governor Fubara is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the party’s strategy and direction in the state.

Recall that the PDP has a strong presence in Rivers State, with a rich history of producing prominent leaders, including former governors and senators since 1999.
