PDP Endorses Eno As Sole Candidate For 2027 Governorship Polls

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has endorsed Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State as the sole candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial elections.

The Chairman of the party, Elder Aniekan Akpan, conveyed the resolution of the PDP in Akwa Ibom State to endorse Eno as the sole candidate of the Party for the 2027 gubernatorial election in the State
during the governor’s visit to the party secretariat in Uyo, the state capital.

Representing the PDP National Woman Leader, Hajiya Amina Darosimi, he affirmed the party’s acknowledgement of Governor Umo Eno’s development strides and capacity in building the State, declaring that the party was proud of the Governor’s great strides.

According to the Woman Leader, “the PDP remains committed to resisting any move to make Nigeria a one-party state and is offering a viable opposition in the nation,” while affirming the party’s support to ensure that Governor Umo Eno continues in office to make the party proud.

Speaking, Eno expressed gratitude to the party for galvanizing support across its various structures towards the success of his administration in the last twenty months.

The Governor said his visit to the party was in line with an age-long tradition of leaders who emerge on the party’s platform, while acknowledging that the party is the owner of the government.

He assured that his “administration will continue its grassroots-targeted development to reciprocate the party’s goodwill and sustain its popularity across Akwa Ibom communities.”

Governor Eno stressed that his administration has paid attention to taking development to the grassroots and will continue to impact rural communities, to reciprocate their massive support towards his emergence as Governor and the pursuit of his administration’s ARISE Agenda.
