Onyinyechi Mark on Friday won Nigeria’s first gold medal at the Paralympics 2024.

Mark was on another level as she competed in the women’s up to 61kg Para-Powerlifting category.

She shattered her previous world record by lifting an astonishing 147kg, before further pushing the bar to 150kg—a feat that has solidified her position as the dominant force in the sport.

From Umuahia and conquering the world, Mark is really ‘marking’ her name in history as one of the greatest Powerlifters to come out of Nigeria.

Mark lifted 150kg to set a new world record.
