Otti Appoints Abia Homeland Security Board Members
Abia State Governor Alex Otti has approved the appointment of members of the State Homeland Security Board.
Governor Otti in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Kenneth Kalu, revealed that the newly appointed members are seasoned professionals and security experts, entrusted with the responsibility of guiding the state’s Homeland Security architecture.
According to Prof. Kalu, the board is to be chaired by Brigadier General N.V.U. Nnorom (Rtd.), a highly experienced retired military officer with a track record of service and discipline.
He will be supported by Colonel Chidi Kalu Ukoha (Rtd.), who has been appointed as the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of the board.
Other members of the board include Mr. Chukwunenye Alajemba, who also serves as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Homeland Security; Assistant Commissioner of Police Allwell Okwuonu (Rtd.); legal practitioner Barr. Ngozi Ula Ukoha; and Mrs. Ugo Chidi Onyeabor, who will serve as the Board Secretary.
This appointment underscores the Otti administration’s continued commitment to building a safe and secure Abia through strategic leadership and well-structured security management.
The Homeland Security Board is expected to coordinate and implement proactive measures to combat crime and improve public safety across the state.
