Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State says his administration has fulfilled 85% of the promises it made to the people, with only 15% left to complete as he enters the second half of his four-year term.

He made this known on Thursday during the swearing-in ceremony of his new Chief of Staff, Dr. Sulaiman Wali Sani, the Director General of Special Services Directorate, Major General Sani Muhammad (rtd), and 11 Special Advisers.

Governor Yusuf explained that the progress was based on a review presented to the State Executive Council.

“I’m happy that when I checked last week, we have completed 85% of our promises. We have only 15% left, and we still have two years to work on them,” he said.

The governor added that new programmes and projects would soon be introduced to continue improving the lives of Kano citizens.

He also advised the new appointees to work with honesty and be open with their reports.

Governor Yusuf reminded them to use public funds wisely and always put the interest of the people first.
