One dead as gunmen attack Ukum, steal livestock in Benue

Unknown gunmen have killed a resident and stolen livestock during an attack on Tse-Kwaso, Ukande, Torov, in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.

DAILY POST gathered that the incident, which occurred on the night of Wednesday, August 13, 2025, claimed the life of Mr. Terngu Torwuhe, who was shot dead by the assailants.

Eyewitnesses said the gunmen also carted away goats from the premises before fleeing the scene.

Residents have raised concerns over the rising wave of insecurity in the area, urging authorities to take urgent steps to safeguard lives and property.
