Okomu Oil Declares N30 Interim Dividend as Half-Year Profit Soars by 135%
Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc has announced an impressive interim dividend of ₦30 per share for the half-year period ending June 30, 2025, delighting shareholders with one of the most substantial payouts on the Nigerian Exchange this season.
The agribusiness giant recorded a significant surge in its revenue, reaching ₦129.83 billion during the six months, marking a 73.09% rise compared to the ₦75 billion posted in the first half of 2024.
The company also reported a profit after tax of ₦47.538 billion, reflecting a 135.38% increase year-on-year from ₦20.196 billion recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Earnings per share for the period stood at ₦49.83. Based on the current trading price of ₦950 per share, Okomu’s price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio is calculated at 19.06x, translating to an earnings yield of 5.25%.
For the proposed interim dividend, shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as of the qualification date of August 8, 2025, will be eligible. The company has scheduled the register closure for August 11 to August 15, 2025.
Electronic dividend payments are set for August 22, 2025, for eligible shareholders who have duly completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the company’s registrar to credit their bank accounts directly.
