Obidient Movement in Ebonyi reaffirms loyalty to Labour Party
The Obidient Movement has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the Labour Party, while strongly denying recent reports alleging that its coalition structures in Ebonyi State have been hijacked.
In a joint statement signed and made available to journalists in Abakaliki, Splendour Oko Eze, the 2023 Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Ebonyi State and member of the Obidient Movement’s National Advisory Committee, alongside Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, a 2023 Labour Party National Assembly candidate and fellow committee member, condemned the claims as false and politically motivated.
“These claims are being propagated by individuals associated with the fractured and fragmented PDP in Ebonyi State, a party known for its politics of acrimony and incessant noise-making,” the statement read.
“The core supporters of Mr Peter Obi are well-known and remain focused and undistracted by these baseless allegations.”
The movement expressed gratitude to its supporters for their continued loyalty and dedication to the shared vision of a new Nigeria: “We deeply value your support and unwavering commitment. Let us continue to work together in unity and purpose.”
