NWFL: Coach Ogbonda commends Bayelsa Queens’ performance in friendlies

Bayelsa Queens head coach Whyte Ogbonda praised his players as they prepare for the 2025–26 season.

The Prosperity Girls have recorded five wins and one draw in six warm‑up matches.

Ogbonda assured that he will improve on the lapses identified after their hard‑fought 2‑1 win in their most recent friendly against Robo Queens in Lagos.

“Generally the team has done well, we’ve played six matches, won five and drew one and this is good preparation for Bayelsa Queens,” Coach Ogbonda stated after the game.

“So far we have seen some gray areas and when we get to Yenagoa, we will do some corrections and the team will be ready to face the rest of the countries in the WAFU Zone B competition.”

Bayelsa Queens will compete in the 2025 WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Côte d’Ivoire in September.
