Remo Stars have announced the departure of five of their regular players, DAILY POST reports.

The players are goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, experienced striker Sikiru Alimi, Beninoise star Frank Mawuena, defender Seun Ogunribide, and Fabian Nworie.

Bankole, who was the club’s longest serving goalkeeper, is set to join a foreign club.

Alimi, who was part of the home-based Super Eagles squad to the 2024 African Nations Championship has reportedly agreed a move to Rivers United.

Remo Stars have already beefed up their squad with a number of new signings including Victor Mbaoma, Adama Goita, Chaka Coulibaly, and Mark Gibson.

The Sky Blue Stars were held to a 1-1 draw by River United in their opening game of the new season last Friday.
