NPFL: Plateau United goalkeeper Adeyinka reacts to betting allegation
Plateau United goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka has reacted to the betting allegations levelled against him by the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
Adeyinka urged the NPFL to grant him a fair hearing over the allegation, which has put his move to Shooting Stars on hold.
The former Kwara United shot-stopper said he sought clarification following the allegations but received no concrete response.
“I have been waiting for the LMC to invite me so I can defend myself, but until now, I have heard nothing,” Adeyinka told OyoSportsNews.
“I called the secretary of Plateau United to ask if they had written to the LMC to stop any club from registering me.”
DAILY POST reports that Adeyinka has been suspended by the NPFL pending the outcome of the investigation.
