Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has expressed disappointment with the outcome of his team’s clash with Rivers United, DAILY POST reports.

The Sky Blue Stars held Finidi George’s side to a 1-1 draw in the opening game of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season on Friday.

Aniekem Okon gave Rivers United the lead after three minutes.

The hosts responded with Victor Mbaoma equalising six minutes later.

Ogunmodede said he wanted more one points from the game.

“Personally, it was an important game for me because it was my 100th match as head coach of Remo Stars, and I really wanted to win it. But this is football,” the tactician said after the game.
