Nasarawa United head coach, Mbwas Mangut insists his side will move on from the defeat to Niger Tornadoes.

The Solid Miners fell 1-0 to Niger Tornadoes in their opening fixture of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season in Ilorin on Wednesday.

Terdoo Shimagande scored the winning goal for Tornadoes in the 24th minute.

Nasarawa United created numerous chances in the game but failed to find the equaliser.

Mangut is optimistic they will bounce back from the defeat in their next game.

“Going forward, the league just started, and it’s a marathon race,” Mangut told the club’s official website.

“Every club is very conscious of his performance, especially at home.”

Nasarawa United will host Abia Warriors in their next league game on Sunday.
