NPFL: Maikaba pleased with Wikki Tourists’ win against Plateau United

Wikki Tourists head coach Abdu Maikaba has expressed satisfaction with the performance of his players against Plateau United, DAILY POST reports.

The Bauchi Elephants won the matchday one encounter played at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium by a lone goal.

New signing Louis Dadong scored the winning goal four minutes before the break.

Maikaba said his team would have scored more goals in the keenly contested encounter.

“I’m happy with the result and the performance of my players. The scoreline could have been different, but for some tactical lapses,” Maikaba told the club’s media.

“I believe we will go far when the team fully blends, as some players have only been with us for ten days.”

Wikki Tourists will face Kano Pillars in their next game.
