NPFL: Barau FC get government approval to use Sani Abacha Stadium

The Kano State Government has approved the use of Sani Abacha Stadium by Barau FC as the club’s temporary home ground for the new season.

Barau FC opted for the ground following ongoing renovation works at their home ground, Dambatta Stadium.

The Maliya Boys were promoted to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, last season.

The Kano-based club picked one of the promotion tickets at the Nigeria National League, NNL, playoffs in June.

They will face nine-time NPFL champions Enyimba in their opening game of the season.

The new NPFL season will kick-off this weekend with matches across 10 different centres.
