Obinna Akuchie has joined Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Rivers United to boost their goalkeeping department for the 2025-26 season.

Rivers United are currently beefing up their squad for the CAF Champions League and the NPFL next season.

DAILY POST recalls that Finidi George’s side have also completed the signing of former Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble.

Akuchie joined the Pride of Rivers from newly promoted NPFL side, Kun Khalifat FC.

The shot stopper played a key role in Kun Khalifat’s promotion to the NPFL.

Akuchie previously played for the defunct Vandrezzer FC in Uyo.
