Noni Madueke Pens Emotional Farewell to Chelsea Fans After Completing £52M Arsenal Move
English winger Noni Madueke, who has announced a £52 million deal to north London rivals Arsenal, has sent a touching parting note to Chelsea FC supporters.
The 23-year-old player who can play on both wings is now Arsenal’s fourth summer acquisition and the second player to join the team from Chelsea during the current transfer window.
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed Madueke’s departure from Stamford Bridge, saying the player decided to leave on his own.
Before completing the deal, Madueke allegedly departed Chelsea’s Club World Cup training in the United States to go to London for a medical with the Gunners.
In an emotional post shared on his official Instagram page, Madueke thanked the team, his teammates, and a score of the supporters of his old club, Chelsea FC.
“Dear Chelsea Football Club, I want to thank you for the last 3 or so years. To every staff member that helped me along this journey, thank you. To my teammates, thank you for everything. I leave with only love and admiration for you guys.
“We achieved so much this season, and I honestly wish you guys nothing but the best. To Enzo Maresca, it was a privilege to play under you. Thank you for trying to better me as a player and as a person.
“Lastly, thank you to every single Chelsea fan. Thank you for the love, the praise and also the criticism, I appreciate it all. I leave here with nothing but fond memories.”
