NNPC Ltd, Chevron Reaffirm Commitment To Advancing Energy Sector

The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, on Tuesday hosted a delegation from Chevron Nigeria Ltd. (CNL) on a courtesy visit.
The GCEO during the meeting shared NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to strengthening the existing partnership with CNL, pledging to deepen discussions on gas-related business.
He highlighted the importance of effective, value-based partnerships to drive sustainable collaboration and deliver shared value to both parties.
The CNL Chairman/Managing Director, Jim Swartz, shared key points on CNL’s high-level strategy, identifying key areas for collaboration and alignment with NNPC Ltd.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Nigeria’s energy sector through strategic partnerships.
The CNL delegation included Jim Swartz (Chairman/Managing Director), Segun Kuteyi (Director, JV Operations), Michelle Pflueger (Director, Deepwater & PSCs), Rizu Nwokoma (Director, Business Services), Ijeoma Bassey (General Counsel), and Olayiwola Adeniji (Manager, Government Affairs).
The meeting is coming a few days after the NNPC Boss received a delegation from Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) on a courtesy visit.
The GCEO had described the NLNG as a strategic business for Nigeria and shared NNPC Ltd’s vision of ensuring energy access for all Nigerians.
The NLNG MD, Dr. Philip Mshelbila, had congratulated the GCEO and his team, expressing confidence in their ability to advance the Nigerian energy sector.
Both parties committed to deepening discussions on strategies for gas supply, decarbonization and talent exchange.
The NLNG delegation included Dr. Philip Mshelbila (MD/CEO), Olakunle Osobu (Deputy MD), Dr. Sophia Horsfall (GM, External Relations & Sustainable Development), Akachukwu Nwokedi (General Counsel/Company Secretary), Godson Dienye (Manager, Govt Relations & Regulatory Compliance), Sulaimon Adebayo (TA to MD), Nengi Amadi (Snr Govt Relations Advisor), and Rufai Lawal (Snr Govt Relations Advisor).
