… Remittances To FG Hit N6.5tn

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPC) has generated N4.57tn in June 2025, making a total of N10.57tn in two months covering May and June despite challenging market conditions of lower prices for crude oil.

The company also posted a profit of N905bn in June, totaling N1.956tn between June and May, the company’s financials for June and May reveal.

The state-owned company in May made a statutory payment of N1.37tn to the government, which totals N6.96tn paid to the Nigerian government between January to May 2025.

The company witnessed a marginal decline in revenue from N6tn in May to N4.57tn in June, which is linked to fluctuations in global crude oil prices which averaged around $71.44 per barrel.

The company grew crude oil and condensate production from 1.63 million barrels per day (mbpd) in May to 1.68mbpd in June 2025, the highest crude output since January.

Also, gas production during the period rose from 7.35 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) to 7.58mmsc/d which is the highest since January 2025.

On the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline, the company disclosed that it is 83 percent complete, up from the 81 per cent completion level in May 2025.

The AKK project AKK pipeline, spanning approximately 614 kilometers, is designed to transport 2.2 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day.

“Successfully completed the AKK River Niger Crossing which significantly derisked the completion of the mainline. Additional intervention being put in
place to ensure earliest completion,” the energy giant said.

Additionally, NNPCL disclosed that Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) availability at its retail stations, NNPC Retail Ltd. rose to 71 per cent in June compared to 62 per cent availability in May, 2025.

The company also disclosed that it has commenced technical review of OB3 (Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben) Gas Pipeline.

“Commenced technical review of OB3 River Niger crossing to replicate learnings from AKK River Niger crossing success,” NNPC added.

On the status of the Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna Refineries, the NNPCL said that the “review progressing.”
