Wikki Tourists secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, after thrashing Yobe Desert Stars 4-0 in their final group game in the Nigeria National League, NNL, playoffs on Thursday.

Abdu Maikaba’s side tops the Conference A table with five points, and will confront the first-place team in Conference B in the final.

The winners will be crowned champions of the 2024/25 NNL season.

Wonderson Yakubu grabbed a hat-trick for Wikki Tourists while Hassan netted the third.

Elsewhere, Barau FC also earned promotion after a 2-0 victory over Doma United.

It is the first time the Kano-based club will be playing in the Nigerian top-flight.

Usman Maidubji, and Shammasu Muhd were on target for Barau FC in the game.
