Nigerian financial institution First Bank has announced a service disruption on Thursday.

The bank disclosed this in a notice released on its X account.

It said that the disruption affected its online channels, including FirstMobile, FirstOnline and Unstructured Supplementary Service Data.

The bank assured that it is working to tackle the downtime.

“Please be informed that we are currently experiencing some downtime affecting transactions to other banks on FirstMobile, FirstOnline and the USSD Platform. Customers may therefore experience delayed or declined transactions.

“We regret the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

“Our team is working with our partners to restore services as quickly as possible, and we will provide updates once services are fully restored,” the notice stated.
