NGX Market Capitalisation Hits ₦75.58 Trillion After Robust Rally

Nigeria’s stock market ended Monday’s session with a minor dip, as the All Share Index slipped by 0.01% to close at 119,978.57 points, down from 119,995.76.

Market capitalisation followed suit, declining by N11 billion to settle at N75.951 trillion.

Despite the bearish finish, market sentiment remained relatively upbeat, with 32 equities gaining value against 31 decliners. Trading activity remained robust, with 2 billion shares exchanged across 25,172 deals, totalling N144 billion in value.

CWG emerged as the top gainer, recording a 10.00% jump to close at N12.65 from N11.50. Other notable gainers included CAVERTON, NEIMETH, and FTN Cocoa, with respective gains of 9.96%, 9.93%, and 9.91%.

On the downside, LEARNAFRICA led the laggards, shedding 10.00% to close at N4.59. Julius Berger, C & I Leasing, and THOMASWYAT followed with declines of 9.97%, 9.90%, and 9.62% respectively.

Among the most actively traded stocks, OANDO topped the list with 371 million units exchanged in 1,180 deals worth N19.87 billion. 

ACCESSCORP followed with 328 million shares traded in 1,289 deals valued at N7 billion. UACN recorded 128 million units in 144 deals, totalling N4.4 billion.
