Navy Chief Commissions Multiple Facilities in Rivers, Prioritizes Personnel Welfare

The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, has commissioned several facilities at Ebubu-Eleme and Borokiri in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The facilities, which are part of the ongoing Nigerian Navy (NN) End of Year activities, include a Parade Ground and Pavilion, Junior Rates’ Mess, Senior Rates’ Mess, Headquarters Naval Training Command Officers’ Mess, and accommodation blocks.
The CNS also commissioned two Ratings Accommodation Blocks with 47 rooms each and one block of 56 one-bedroom flat apartments.
Ogalla reassured officers and men that their welfare is his topmost priority, promising to continue addressing the issues of inadequate accommodation.
“We are rehabilitating and bringing back abandoned accommodations to become useful for us because we have a very serious challenge of inadequate accommodation.
“We have put all our resources to make sure that whichever one we can do is done properly, in addition to the new ones that we are building in Port Harcourt and other areas.”
