NAF, Army raid bandits’ camp in Kebbi, kill dozens, rescue kidnap victims
Dozens of suspected bandits have been neutralised in a joint operation by the Nigerian Air Force and the Nigerian Army in Makuku forest, Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
According to a post on Friday by security analyst, Bakatsine via X, the operation, which took place on Thursday, targeted a known hideout of armed bandits deep within the forest.
During the raid, several kidnapped victims were rescued while a number of rustled cattle were recovered by the troops.
Bakatsine described the joint air and ground assault as “decisive,” noting that the mission successfully disrupted the activities of the criminals in the area.
“Yesterday, Nigerian Air Force and Army struck bandits in Makuku forest, Sakaba LGA, Kebbi State. Dozens were neutralised, kidnapped victims rescued, and stolen cattle recovered. May our troops continue to succeed,” the post read.
