Mourinho reveals when he will return to Portugal

Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho, has promised to return to his native Portugal “at the height” of his career.

Mourinho stated this after they beat Portimonense 2-1 in a pre-season friendly.

The game was played in Albufeira, Portugal.

The 62-year-old has only one year left on his current contract with the Turkish giants.

Speaking with Sport TV, Mourinho insisted that a return will not be for “a golden retirement”.

He said: “I’m definitely coming to Portugal. It hasn’t happened yet, but it will.

“Not because I feel like I’m nearing the end, I feel far from that.

“I don’t want to come to Portugal for a golden retirement or for the last years of my career. I want to come to Portugal at the height of my career, in good health and physically and mentally strong. I’ll definitely be back.”
