King Mohammed VI of Morocco has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the passing of Nigeria’s former president, Muhammadu Buhari.

In a formal message of sympathy, the Moroccan monarch extended his condolences to President Tinubu, the Buhari family, and the people of Nigeria, describing the loss as a deeply sorrowful event.

King Mohammed VI praised Buhari as “an illustrious leader who worked untiringly to serve his country’s best interests and lead his people toward further progress and prosperity.”

Reflecting on their shared diplomatic ties, the monarch highlighted the positive outcomes of their collaboration.

“I share your grief and want you to know how much I appreciated the working sessions I had with the deceased,” the King said. “They culminated in the launch of promising development projects that have ushered a new era grounded in friendship and close cooperation between our two sister nations.”

He offered prayers and expressed solidarity with Nigeria during the period of national mourning.
