Social media is currently awash with disturbing motion pictures of a lecturer of the Niger Delta University, Bayelsa State, engaging in a physical fight with a female student.

DAILY POST gathered that trouble began when the lecturer, who is yet to be identified, asked the student to walk out of the examination hall after being caught indulging in malpractice.

The student’s refusal to exit the hall led to the fight.

According to sources, the female student, who demanded her seized phone before leaving the hall, smashed the lecturer’s phone.

In one of the videos, another official could be heard telling the student to leave the hall, but she insisted that her phone must be handed over to her before leaving.

Details of the incident could not be ascertained immediately as efforts to reach the school management proved abortive.

When contacted by DAILY POST, the Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer, Musa Mohammed, said, “I will contact the DPO in the area and get back to you.”
