Mikel Arteta pens three-year contract extension with EPL club Arsenal

Spanish tactician Mikel Arteta has penned a three-year contract extension which will expire in the year 2027 with English Premier League (EPL) club Arsenal.

In December 2019, Arsenal named Mikel Arteta as their new coach, succeeding Unai Emery.

The 42-year-old manager went on to win his first major title as a manager at the end of the 2019–2020 season when he guided Arsenal to victory in the FA Cup final.

It is anticipated that Arteta’s new contract, extended until the summer of 2027, will be finalized before Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham.

Moments after extending his deal with the club, Mikel Arteta stated that he feels extremely lucky to work every single day with good people and the ambition they have at Arsenal.

He said; “I’m extremely proud, very excited and am looking forward to what is coming next. I’m proud to be where I am and have the relationships that I have with everyone at the club”.

“I feel extremely lucky to work every single day with good people and the ambition we have here. I feel very inspired, I feel challenged, I feel supported and I want to do much more than what we’ve already done together”.

“Together with the players and everyone at the club, we are looking forward to the coming years, with our supporters, who have emotionally transformed the club and the team”.
