MetaMask Users Can Now Trade TRX, Stablecoins, NFTs on Tron

Tron has become the latest blockchain to secure direct integration with MetaMask, Consensys’ widely used crypto wallet. The collaboration, announced in partnership with Tron DAO, makes Tron only the third non-Ethereum network to gain native MetaMask support, following Solana and BNB Smart Chain.
With this update, users can connect to the Tron blockchain directly through MetaMask to transfer TRX, manage TRC-20 tokens, interact with stablecoins, and trade NFTs without leaving the wallet. Tron DAO spokesperson Sam Elfarra called MetaMask “a vital gateway to decentralised applications,” highlighting the wallet’s global reach and trust among crypto users.
Tron founder Justin Sun also weighed in, noting that the rise of stablecoins is reshaping digital finance. He argued that networks like Tron, which offer low fees, deep liquidity, and high transaction capacity, are increasingly becoming the foundation of this shift.
MetaMask, launched in 2016, has steadily expanded its reach beyond Ethereum. Earlier this year, it added Solana support and announced plans to enable Bitcoin integration by late 2025. The wallet now has more than 100 million active users worldwide and recently rolled out a Mastercard-backed self-custody crypto card for select customers. Consensys has also hinted at launching a token after U.S. regulators ended an investigation into the firm.
Tron itself has grown into one of the world’s largest blockchains since debuting in 2017. The network processes nearly nine million transactions per day and settles more than $22 billion daily, positioning it as the leading chain for USDT transfers. Its presence is especially strong in Asia, which MetaMask’s team views as a key region for adoption.
In the U.S., Tron has also been gaining ground amid shifting regulatory conditions. In June, SRM Entertainment even rebranded as Tron Inc. and adopted a treasury strategy centred on TRX, with Justin Sun serving as an adviser—further underscoring the network’s expanding influence.
