Manchester United to employ Ruben Amorin as Eric Ten Hag’s replacement

English Premier League (EPL) club Manchester United is making moves to sign Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorin to replace sacked Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag.

Reports say Manchester United’s officials are travelling to Lisbon today to seal a deal for Amorim as the EPL side intends to ‘close an agreement immediately’ after Sporting’s game tonight.

Further reports reveal that Manchester United wants Ruben Amorim to be in charge of the team for the game against Chelsea on Sunday with the coach willing to travel to England soon.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has also disclosed that Amorin has given his green light to Manchester United as he is keen on joining the club and has accepted the terms discussed.

Romano also revealed in a post shared on his X handle (formerly Twitter) that it would pay the sum of €10 million for Manchester United to settle the exit clause of Amorin from Sporting Lisbon.

‘‘Ruben Amorim has given an initial green light to Man United. He’s keen on joining the club, accepting the project and the terms discussed.

‘‘Amorim respects Sporting… and so it depends on club-to-club negotiation now.

‘‘Exit clause for top clubs is around €10m.’’ Romano wrote on his official X page.
