Man Stabs 25-Year-Old To Death in Abule Egba
The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one Musa Zayanu for allegedly stabbing a 25-year-old, simply identified as Mahmud, to death in the Abule Egba area of Lagos State.
Command spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this on Tuesday, stating that the suspect who stabbed the deceased in the left side of his stomach is in police custody.
According to him, “On 10/03/2025 at about 0900hr, a report was received at Oke-Odo Division that on the same date at about 0700 hrs at the Bolar site in Abule-Egba, one Musa Zayanu ‘M’ stabbed one Mahmud ‘M’ aged 25 with a knife on the left side of his stomach, and as a result of this, the victim bled profusely from the injury sustained, and subsequently this led to his death.”
He added, “The DPO immediately led a team of policemen to the scene of the crime, where photographs of the deceased were taken, and the knife used in the commission of the crime was recovered.”
The victim’s body has been evacuated by the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit and deposited at the Mainland General Hospital Mortuary, Yaba, for preservation and autopsy.
Hundeyin further stated, “The suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department, Panti, Yaba. The investigation is ongoing.”
