The Federal Government has reacted to the killing of worshippers in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.

In a statement signed by Muhammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, the Tinubu administration condemned what it described as a callous and barbaric attack on harmless citizens.

The victims were said to have been gathered in peace for worship when the attack occurred.

The government described the incident as a crime that must not go unpunished.

The statement added that agencies of the federal government are already on the trail of the criminals.

Furthermore, the government assured Nigerians that justice for this crime will be swift and decisive.

Idris stated that the President extends his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.

“Those who shed innocent blood will find no hiding place in Nigeria,” the statement added.
