Lightning strikes, claims two lives in Kano
Tragedy struck in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State when a lightning struck, killed two people and injured another in Kogi Fulani village.
The incident which occurred during a heavy rainfall claimed the lives of siblings Basiru and Salamatu Muhammad, while their sisters Hafsat Muhammad sustained injuries.
Malam Muhammad, father of the deceased said the family was devastated by the sudden loss.
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) had earlier warned of possible thunderstorms and heavy rain across several parts of the country, cautioning people against staying in open spaces or under trees during severe weather conditions.
