LaLiga: ‘The beginning was difficult’ — Raphinha reflects on Barcelona career

Barcelona winger Raphinha has admitted that he wanted to leave the club six months after joining the LaLiga giants from Premier League club Leeds United in 2022.
The Brazilian spoke after scoring a hat-trick in Barcelona’s LaLiga 7-0 win against Real Valladolid at the weekend.
Speaking to RAC1 (via MD), Raphinha said adapting to the Blaugrana was difficult and he contemplated an immediate exit from Camp Nou.
“Yes, I thought about it [leaving Barcelona]. The first six months were complicated for me and my family,” Raphinha said.
“After the World Cup, I improved and I was able to finish the season well. I was calmer, but the beginning was quite difficult. Adapting to the club was difficult for me.”
